Arabella Ruby

Arabella Ruby is a passionate 16-year-old angler from Maryland whose love for fishing started early—and never let up. At just four years old, she landed her first sunfish on the North Branch of the Patapsco River, and she’s been chasing that feeling ever since.

She grew up fishing the waters of Liberty Reservoir, the Chesapeake Bay, and the Maryland and Delaware coastlines before discovering the Florida Keys in 2021. Now a regular in the Middle Keys, Arabella fishes from a 25-foot Roblo Cayman, targeting a wide range of species across both inshore and nearshore waters.

Off the water, Arabella is just as driven. She’s a standout tennis player at Westminster High School and an accomplished keyboardist, performing with local groups. Her connection to the water goes beyond sport—she’s a proud supporting member of the Coastal Conservation Association of Maryland, with a strong commitment to protecting the future of our fisheries.

Looking ahead, Arabella plans to pursue a degree in marine biology, combining her passion for fishing with a purpose-driven focus on conservation.

Whether she’s on the court, on stage, or on the water, Arabella shows up the same way every time—focused, driven, and all in.
